There will also be an iOS upgrade to include a connection to the smartwatch from an iPhone. iOS 8.2 is now available for download. The Apple Watch is Apple's answer to the emerging smart wearables market. However, instead of 1 smartwatch, Apple is marketing 3 categories of smartwatch, the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch Edition. The Apple Watch Sport is priced from $349 to $399, the Apple Watch with stainless steel casing is priced from $549 to $1099 while the 18 karat gold Apple Watch Edition is at a massive $10,000! That's almost RM37,000!!! Apple has also finally revealed the battery time of the Apple Watch on a full charge; approximately 18 hours. Since the unveiling of the Apple Watch, rumours has it that the smartwatch could operate on a full day before requiring to charge. Most other wearables like the Motorola Moto 360 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear, both of which are running on Android, also operate for a full day on full charge. Then, there is Pebble's latest Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel that could last a week as they use a color e-paper LCD screen which consumes less energy. The Apple Watch screen is a retina display while most Android wearables uses OLED screens.
