Hundreds of Apple devotees queued for large screen iPhones in Singapore

Locals and foreigners alike converged as early as 5am on Thursday at Apple selling shops islandwide in anticipation of the first day sale of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Queues formed at Epicentre outlets at Bugis Junction and Wheelock Place. Nubox outlets at Jurong Point, Junction 8, Tampines Mall, Funan DigitaLife Mall and Bedok Mall also saw queues snaking into their stores. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were unveiled in an event by Apple last September 9th and are direct competition to the Samsung Galaxy S series and Samsung Galaxy Note series. Other than Singapore, the new phones or phablets are also on sale in the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong and Japan.
