Microsoft yesterday unveiled the Lumia 535, the first in the series to drop the Nokia brandname. Besides the name change, the new phone appears to be another iteration of the Lumia product line, albeit the aggressively lower price to a range of low pricing entry level Lumia phones. The Microsoft Lumia 535 is priced at around €110 in Europe, lower than the Lumia 630 by €20 yet offering more features. The 5-inch-screen phone is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on its latest OS the Windows Phone 8.1. The Lumia 535 is expected to launch in Russia, Ukraine, China, Indonesia and the Philippines in November and in the following month in Vietnam, Thailand and Australia.
