Motorola is planning to unveil their Android based smartwatch, the Moto 360 in an event in Chicago on September 4. The company plans to unveil the smartwatch together with their latest iteration of Moto X and Moto G smartphones. The Moto 360 is shaping up to be Google's best Android wearable and a serious competitor to Apple's rumoured iWatch. During a recent Google I/O Developer conference, attendees lamented the absence of the Motorola watch, indicating strong interest and great anticipation. One of the reasons to it is that the watch stands out amongst the other Android  wearables such as the Samsung Gear Live and LG G watch. Amidst tapering smartphone sales, tech companies are shifting their focus to wearables for new areas of growth. The smartwatch is logical step forward but there are still technical hurdles to overcome, such as the short battery life.
